Our childhood

ધોરણ પાંચ સુધી સ્લેટ ચાટવાથી

*કેલ્શિયમની ઉણપ પૂરી કરવી*  

એ અમારી કાયમી ટેવ હતી..!

*અને ભણવાનો તણાવ ?પેન્સિલનો પાછલો હિસ્સો ચાવી ચાવીને* 

તણાવમુક્ત થઈ જતા હતા..!

અને હા ... 

ચોપડીઓની વચ્ચે 

*વિદ્યાના ઝાડનું ડાળું અને મોરના પીંછાંને મૂકવાથી અમે હોંશિયાર થઈ જઈશું* 

એવી દૃઢ માન્યતા હતી..!

અને 

*કપડાના થેલામાં ચોપડા ગોઠવવા એ અમારું આગવું કૌશલ્ય હતું.*

ચોપડા ગોઠવવા એ જ 

એ *જમાનામાં હુન્નર મનાતું હતું.*

અને .. 

ચોપડાઓ ઉપર *પૂંઠા ચડાવવા એ અમારા જીવનનો વાર્ષિક ઉત્સવ હતો* ‌...

  

અને માતા-પિતાને 

અમારા ભણતરની તો 

*કોઈ ફિકર કે ચિંતા જ નહોતી.*

વર્ષોના વર્ષ વીતી જતા 

છતાં અમારા માતા-પિતાના

પાવન પગલાં ક્યારેય 

*અમારી સ્કૂલ તરફ પડતા ન હતાં.*

અને 

અમારા દોસ્તો મજાના હતા.

જ્યારે 

*સાયકલ લઈને જતા હતા ત્યારે એકને ડંડા પર અને બીજાને કેરિયર પર બેસાડતા* 

અમે કેટલીયે મંઝિલો ખેડી હશે,

એ અમને યાદ નથી ...

પરંતુ 

થોડી થોડી બસ *અસ્પષ્ટ યાદો અમારી સ્મૃતિ પટલ પર છે...!*

એ જમાનામાં 

*ટેલિવિઝન નવાનવા આવ્યા હતા.*

કોઈક કોઈકના ઘરે જ ટેલિવિઝન હતા.

*જોવા જઈએ તો ક્યારેક ક્યારેક  અમને કાઢી મૂકવામાં પણ આવતા.*

છતાં અમને ક્યારેય

*અપમાન જેવું લાગતું ન હતું*

નિશાળમાં 

*શિક્ષકનો માર ખાતા કે અંગૂઠા પકડતા ક્યારેય શરમ કે સંકોચ* નથી અનુભવ્યો કારણ કે ....

તે વખતે ક્યારેય 

*અમારો "ઇગો" હર્ટ નહોતો થતો.*

કારણ કે ... 

અમને ખબર જ નહોતી કે  

*ઇગો કઈ બલાનું* નામ છે ?

*માર ખાવો એ અમારા જીવનની દૈનિક સહજ પ્રક્રિયા* નો ભાગ જ હતો...!

*મારવાવાળો અને માર ખાવાવાળો..બંને ખુશ થતા હતા* કારણ કે ..

એકને એમ હતું 

કે *ઓછો માર ખાધો* ..

અને બીજાને એમ થતું હતું 

કે 

*અમારો હાથ સાફ થઈ ગયો*..!

આમ બંને ખુશ...!

અમે ક્યારેય 

અમારા *મમ્મી પપ્પા કે ભાઇ-બહેન ને એવું ન બતાવી શક્યા કે ...અમે તેમને કેટલો પ્રેમ કરીએ છીએ.*

આજે અમે 

*દુનિયાના ઉતાર-ચઢાવનો હિસ્સો બની ચૂક્યા છીએ*

અમે 

*જે જીવન જીવીને આવ્યા છીએ, તેની સામે*

હાલનું જીવન કાંઈ જ નથી.

અમે *સારા હતા કે ખરાબ*....

એ ખબર નથી 

પણ...

અમારો *પરિવાર અને અમારા મિત્રો એક સાથે હતા* 

એ જ મહત્વનું હતું...!અને એ જે *આનંદ દિવસનો ભાથું આજે પણ અમારી ઈમ્યુનીટી વધારી* આપે છે....🤜🏼🤛🏼...💪🏻😉😊😄

To still be able to perform your duties well.

To still be able to keep driving license.

To live without disease.

*70 years old,* *success is.*
Not to be a burden on any one.

*75 years old,* *success is.*
To have old friends.

*81 years old,* *success is.*
To know the way back home.

*86 years old,* *success is.*
Not to urinate in your pants again.

90 years old...* *Success is.*
That you can walk without support again

Life is a cycle.! Dont expect too much from it. Be Simple, Cool and Happy always.
