Most of the Private Doctors in India on an average give free consultation to at least 2 patients per day.These may be friends, distant relatives, somewhat known people or Genuinely Poor Patients.
Considering average minimum consultation fee in India to be ₹100 and approximately 1 lac doctors doing this; then the FREE SERVICES GIVEN TO SOCIETY by “Community of Doctors” in India is approximately.....
2,00,000 patients per day
₹ 200 lacs or ₹ 2 Crore per day
₹ 60 Crore per month
Or an enormous...
₹ 7.3 BILLION per year FREE !!!!!!!!
This is in addition to hundreds of FREE CAMPS that take place daily across India and FREE MEDICINES worth lacs of rupees given to poor patients (supplied by pharma industry).
No other group of professionals or businessmen do charity and free service of this magnitude .
And irony is that; despite doing so much for this society; Doctors are so often blamed for financial exploitation.
