IT return and accident claim

Accidental Death & Compensation:
(Income Tax Return Required)
Knowledge is Power....
If a person has an accidental death and the person was filing income tax returns for the last three years, then the government is obliged to give ten times the average annual income of the last three years to that person's family.
Yes, you will be surprised by this, but this is right and it is Government rule.
For example, if someone's annual income is  4 lakh 5 lakhs and 6 lakhs in the first, second and third years respectively, its average income is ten times of five lakhs.. means fifty Lac rupees, family of that person is entitled to receive from the Government.
In the absence of much information, people do not take this claim with the Government.
If any return is missing, mainly last three years, this could lower the claim amount or even no claim because court takes ITR as only evidence.
NO wealth record, FD's; business etc. is given that much importance as compared to ITR in the eyes of law.
Many a time,  people do not file ITRs regularly..or it will be taken lightly..
Due to lack of information the family receives no economic benefits.

Finance, children, IAP

Do children have the right to ask their parents about the finances at home? Parents earn but everyone spends. At times, someone in the family starts spending unwisely and therefore others object. When children grow old, they understand the situation as well as implications. It is good for the parents to make them economically literate, wise and alert. Financial discipline, budgeting and investing are to be learned and enforced.

The same stands true for an organization.

Therefore this request toMai-Baap of IAP (senior functionaries) from their children, the common IAPans.

We do not know how and how much IAP earns every year?

We do not know how much are fixed expenses of running IAP?

We do not know how much are the savings with IAP, how are these  invested and what for?

We do not know who is entitled to spend how much?

We do not know who is spending how much and which part of it could have been saved?

Who is travelling by air and staying in hotels and for what? Did it benefit IAP in any way? Can meetings be conducted on group calls and video chats to save time and money?

How much are the office expenses for personal offices and how much is their utility?

How much is IAP property being utilized? How many meetings are being conducted here and not in hotels now?

Every business enterprise calculates ROI (return on investment).

How much is the contribution to IAP fund from conferences? Are conference organizers submitting their accounts in time? Does IAP have powers to regulate conference expenses or that is left entirely to organizers?

Do we have comparison available between different terms of office bearers of their income and expenses. Did we reward good workers or punished misdeeds?

Do we have a team like finance commission in IAP that manages income, budget the programs, keep eyes on expenses, do audit of chapters/ programs and regulate conference economics.

Do we envision something creative with surplus of conferences. Can we donate that amount to the corpus of FBS so that public money ultimately reaches public.. Can we pay it as research grant to institutions or scholarships to needy youngsters? Can it be utilized for the benefit of  IAP members in form of books or other modes of learning?

IAP is saving lakhs in stationary and postage by using emails now. We can make saving in many more ways.

Money with IAP is public money, we all own it and therefore it is our sacrosanct duty to use it judiciously.

My appeal is not for pointing fingers but to ensure financial discipline, avoid profligacy and do budgeting for betterment of IAP and all IAPans. We have to set standards and make protocols here too.

Life after 50

Beautiful poem (by unknown) for all senior citizens, feelings as we grow past 60. I don't know who wrote, but salute to him

🙏😊

Am I changing?

Am I Changing?

Yes. I am changing. *Days slip into weeks, weeks turn into months and months transform into years. Calendars are changing and so am I.*

Yes, I am changing. *After loving my parents, my siblings, my spouse, my children and my friends, now I have started loving myself.*

Yes, I am changing. *I just realised that I am not “Atlas” and the world does not rest on my shoulders.*

Yes, I am changing. *I have now stopped bargaining with poor vegetable and fruit vendors. After all, a few rupees more is not going to burn a hole in my pocket but it might help the poor fellow save for his daughter’s school fees.*

Yes, I am changing. *I pay the autowala / cabwala and walk away without waiting for the change. The extra money might bring a smile on his face. After all he is toiling much harder for a living than me.*

Yes, I am changing. *I have stopped telling the elderly that they have already narrated that story many times. After all, the story makes them walk down the memory lane and relive the past.*

Yes, I am changing. *I have learnt not to correct people even when I know they are wrong. After all, the onus of making everyone perfect is not on me. Peace is more precious than perfection.*

Yes, I am changing. *I give compliments freely and generously. After all, its a mood enhancer not only for the recipient but also for me.*

Yes, I am changing. *I have learnt not to bother about my creased shirt or mismatched trousers. After all, personality speaks louder than appearances.*

Yes, I am changing. *I am learning not to let others make me feel incompetent. After all I am not only what they see in me. I might not be good at certain things but I am excellent at others.*

Yes, I am changing. *I walk  away from people who don't value me. After all, they might not know my worth, but I certainly do.*

Yes, I am changing. *I remain cool when someone plays dirty politics to outrun me in the rat race. After all I am neither a rat and nor am I in any race.*

Yes, I am changing. *I am learning not to be embarrassed by my emotions. After all it's my emotions that make me human.*

Yes, I am changing. *I now tell  people if I like them. After all, there is nothing wrong in liking someone.*

Yes, I am changing. *I have learnt that it's better to drop the ego than to break a relationship. After all, my ego will keep me aloof whereas with relationships I will never be alone.*

Yes, I am changing. *I've learnt to live each day as if it were the last. After all, it might be the last.*

Yes, I am changing. *I am doing what makes me happy. After all, I am responsible for my happiness. And I owe it to me.*

10 advice from Gung Gung & Poh poh

10 advice from Gung Gung &  Poh poh

Don't encourage your son and his wife to stay under same roof with you. Best to suggest them to move out, even to the extent of renting a house.  It's their problem to find a separate home.
More the distance between you and your children's families, the better is the relationship with your in laws

Treat your son's wife as his wife, not as your own daughter, maybe just treat her as a friend. Your son would always be your Junior  but, if you think that his wife is of the same rank and if you ever scolded her, she would  remember it for life.
In real life, only her own mother and not u will b viewed as a person qualified to scold or correct her.

Whatever habits or characters your son's wife has is not your problem at all, it is your son problem.  Your son's problem isn't  your problem as he is an adult already

Even living together, made each other businesses clear, don't do their laundry, don't cook for them and don't baby sit their children. Unless, of course, special request by your son's wife and you felt that you're capable.
Most importantly, you shouldn't worry about your son's family problems. Let them settle themselves

Pretend to b blind and deaf when your son and his wife are quarrelling.  It's normal that the young couple do not like their parents to b involved in the dispute between husband and wife.

When your son gets angry, say something good about his wife. On the other hand, when she gets angry, scold your son.

Your grandchildren totally belong to your son and his wife. However they want to raise their children,  it is up to them.  The credit or blame would be on themselves.

Your son's wife need not necessarily  respect and serve you. It is the son's duty.  You should have taught your son to be a better person so that you and your son's wife relationship could be better. Always  tell others how well your son's wife treated you but, never ever tell others how well you treated her.

Never be present inside the court room if your son wanted a divorce

Do more planning for your own retirement, don't rely on your children to take care of  your retirement. You had already walked through most of your journey in life, there are still a lot of new things to learn through out the journey
It is your own interest that you enjoy your retirement years.  Better if you could utilise & enjoy everything that you had saved before you die.  Don't let your wealth become worthless to you.

Grandchildren don't belong to your family, they're their parents precious gift

The above message is not only for you, please share it with your friends,  parents, in-law, uncles, auntie, husband or wife to find peace & progress in life.

Solution to mess in Indian Healthcare.

This 👇 (surprisingly) came from a Non medico guy in a Non medico whatsapp group

*What is solution to mess in Indian healthcare?*
—————————
Bohr Committee advised for Indian Medical Services, in line of Indian Administrative services in year 1948 . After that many Committees were formed on same subject but recommendations not implemented.

It is high time that government should immediately nationalise healthcare services in India.

Till 1990 it was mainly government hospitals which were providing healthcare services to masses & there were very few private hospitals. In city of Delhi in name of private care, we had only three - four trust run charitable hospitals like Moolchand Hospital, Saint Stephen Hospital, Holy Family Hospital & Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.

In that era everyone including politicians & bureaucrats used to go to government hospitals for healthcare needs.

Then something suddenly changed, Corporate hospitals entered into scene. We became confused between socialism & capitalism. Our government started running away from its responsibility of providing quality free education & free healthcare to masses. It led to growth of big Corporate hospitals .

Our governments encouraged growth of private healthcare by neglecting government hospitals & our neighbourhood dispensaries & health centres. Government stopped investing in healthcare & our centres of excellence started coming under stress & deteriorating.

Population kept on growing but proportionate increase in government hospital beds were not made. Staffing was not increased, infrastructure was not upgraded. Government hospitals started being identified as poorly managed & equipped facilities, where even poorest is scared to go .

With liberalisation of Indian economy, we tilted towards becoming a capitalist society, everything is opened to private sector. Here began the entry of Corporates in healthcare, which stepped in to fill the vacuum created by failing & falling standards of government healthcare infrastructure to fulfil the health need & aspirations of quality conscious new rich or affording class.

Till now as we were getting free or subsidised healthcare, we didn’t realise that healthcare is an expensive affair. Our policy makers were aware that is why they had stopped investing on new technologies. New technologies were very expensive & most machines are imported & hence we started feeling the pinch.
Corporate hospitals brought best technologies & expertise to India but it was very expensive and was affordable for only a very few. We became confused, we wanted those best treatments but they were beyond our affordability, it started creating frustration among us . We are in catch 22 situation, we are not ready to go to government hospitals but finding it difficult to afford private healthcare. We wanted five star facilities in hospitals, while it was beyond our means.

Land for many charitable hospitals, slowly & steadily was taken over by Corporate Hospitals & Hospitals like Moolchand, Jessa Ram, G M Modi also became Corporate. Government allowed it in collusion & this option is also taken away from us . We were cornered, government hospitals were not upto standards & unwillingly we were forced to go to Corporate Hospitals.

Health insurance started growing with this new opportunity & we were forced to purchase healthcare policies & additional burden was added to our house hold budget. Now with cashless health care insurance, a cartel started forming, which resisted entry of new hospitals into cashless healthcare networks . This cartel is so strong that in last few years, very few new hospitals have been empaneled by public sector health insurance companies for cashless healthcare services by forming a cartel called GIPSA. Insurance companies along with select hospitals started dictating, which hospitals to go , we started being deprived of free choice to select our hospital & insurance companies started forcing hospitals on us. Government is well aware of this.

Under the confidence of our cashless healthcare policies, we started visiting five star hospitals, for each & every medical problem. Now in serious illnesses our bills started exceeding our insurance limit & we were disturbed & became angry. Yes, that five star hospital was beyond our means & capacity but sometime we were forced by our insurer or sometime we selected them as we wanted the best medical services.

Now a very tricky situation has been created in this country. Government healthcare infrastructure is failing us but 5 star healthcare is not affordable.
To further deteriorate situation, our government started giving panels for government schemes like CGHS & Delhi Health Scheme also, to private & Corporate Hospitals. Now government officials & politicians also dejected government hospitals. Corporate Hospitals handled the whole load due to efficiency of services & better management. These hospitals provided care to affording general public, government panels beneficiaries as well foreign medical tourists. As our law makers & bureaucrats also started going to private hospitals on tax payers money, government hospitals further deteriorated. Now even poorest among the poorest don’t want to go to government hospitals.
Government played another smart trick, instead of strengthening government healthcare infrastructure, which was not cost effective, asked private hospitals to reserve beds for EWS. Public didn’t realise that cost of those bed is also being added to bill of affording patients.

Now situation is, government is running away from its responsibility of providing free healthcare of quality to masses. On surface it shows that it is concerned about public but on the other hand , actually responsible for mess. Small healthcare establishments are being destroyed to create monopoly & hegemony of Corporates . Such rules & conditions are being put, which will lead to closure of all small clinics & nursing homes. There is a big conspiracy & we all need to understand. Tomorrow there will be very few hospitals, which will be providing you cashless healthcare as IRDA in collusion with big Corporates , is making NABH accreditation compulsory for hospital empanelment for cashless insurance. Quality is a facade as there are already Hospitals & NH Registration Acts & CEA, this NABH gimmick is to further marginalise small healthcare establishments & increases their cost of running.

Now I request everyone to understand this whole game, come on streets, before it becomes too late. Demand from government to own up responsibility & immediately implement Indian Medical Services on line of IAS.
Nationalise Indian healthcare & stop running away form its responsibility of providing quality healthcare to masses, free of cost. Government should stop playing a double game of encouraging Corporates & also blaming Private providers , while actually promoting them from behind.

Dear friends, like public, doctors are also at receiving end. Profession is under stress. Corporates are turning doctors into slaves, taking away their autonomy. Healthcare is expensive that is why government is not spending on it . Doctors pay commercial property tax, water & electricity. Huge tax on equipments . Running private practices, fulfilling cost aspirations of public is becoming almost impossible, in current scenario.

Country needs good doctors & excellent health services also. Doctors can’t provide it at cheap rate because it doesn’t come cheap. Like every product, services also have cost but it looks that cost is unaffordable for most of us.

Insurance companies have also failed us.
We need nationalisation of Health Care Services, so that public continue to get world class healthcare & good doctors. Current environment is not very encouraging to select medicine as a career because of very few government jobs , exploitation by Corporates, difficult laws creating hindrance in starting small establishments & non affordability by masses of private healthcare.

Indian Medical Services, will create a proper environment for growth of medical profession as well as Indian healthcare sector.

Please make it a revolution & demand that government should nationalise Indian healthcare & guarantee free, quality healthcare to all citizens of India. This environment of distrust between general public & Medical profession should end. Nation needs its doctors, they’re the best lot.

Hope everyone will introspect & will force government to own up its responsibility towards public, regarding free healthcare.

Rediscover your Doctor

*Rediscover Your Doctor*

_*Do you know*_ that when treating you of your viral fever your doctor gets exposed to the virus?

_*Do you know*_ that when doing surgery your doctor gets cuts and pricks that may transmit disease from patient to doctor?

_*Do you know*_ that when your doctor dresses your diabetic foot, they feel nauseated by smell and do not feel like eating for the whole day?

_*Do you know*_ that when during a delivery the patient often passes urine and motion that may spills on the doctor?

_*Do you know*_ that even though your doctor's own child might be suffering from fever, he has to leave him to his servants as he has to go and treat others while his own child suffers?

_*Do you know*_ that for every delivery case your doctor has to attend at least 10 calls throughout night.. And then be back to work early next day?

_*Do you know*_ that when a neurosurgeon operates for 12 hours continuously he loses track of time and forgets to eat or sleep?

_*Do you know*_ that a cardiologist is exposed to dangerous levels of radiation in the lab

_*Do you know*_ that the life span of doctors is 10 years less than public average because of stress?

*A doctor doesn’t just work for money. With their level of intelligence they could earn more money had they chosen other professions.*

_*Please take a moment to thank all the Doctors!*_

Holy Cross Hospital vs Fortis Hospital: Dear society, You will get what you deserve!

Article by ©Dr Swapnil Kumar Kale for DoxBay

Once you have beaten up all the doctors in the country and broken all their small clinics into pieces, this is what you will be left with - corporate hospitals that charge you lakhs per hour!

A 500 strong crowd broke Holy cross hospital into pieces when a 22 year old died of MI. The losses incurred due to the damages could be little less than a crore. But the biggest thing that these people destroyed was the doctors’ moral courage! The situation was almost similar to a riot and police did nothing. The most significant thing police did was to delete the pics and videos of the assaulters from doctors’ phones.

Attacking doctors and vandalizing clinics have turned into an epidemic today with all the politicians, govt, media and the society ganging up together with one motive – “Tame the doctor, make him work 24x7 for free and force him to accept that he is God!” Slowly and silently doctors are giving up, moving to other countries; small clinics closing down; no new generation kids wanting to become doctors. Let this epidemic continue for decade and you will see no “good” doctor left to treat you because you have beaten the shit out of them already. There will be no small clinics around that you can afford, as you vandalized all of them already! Only thing you will see when you fall sick will be the corporate hospitals that charge you just like the Fortis kid.

The ‘Dengue kid’ died in Fortis Hospital and media went into frenzy for weeks with the melodramatic stories of how the hospital has exorbitantly charged the family. Did Fortis hospital overcharge? That can be an arguable matter. But let me tell the society in the face – “You anyway can’t afford hospitals like Fortis!” Corporate hospitals provide high end healthcare and they WILL charge on the same lines and you can do nothing about it. Those, who have been vandalizing small clinics, can’t fucking break a window of such big corporate hospitals.

Taking suo motu cognizance of the ‘16 Lakhs Fortis bill’, National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) under the Govt of India that shot a notice to the Fortis administration based on the things they read in newspaper! Few media houses are still writing columns about how hospitals and doctors are looting the poor. Does the“Nana Patekar's कलम वाली बाई”  in these so called journalists and media houses fall asleep when doctors are beaten up? Where the fuck are you guys when a hospital is broken into pieces and a doctor’s courage is broken apiece?

So many hospitals have been vandalized in recent times. Many doctors have been ruthlessly beaten up by crowds, with at least 4 doctors losing life in such situations in recent past. Doctors are leaving the profession or country because of such incidents; and there is no support from any politician or govt or intellectuals or liberals or leftists or rightists or the common people? No one fucking wants to return their awards now?!! Oh I forgot, those are reserved for publicity and political mileage over religious matters only!

In India, there are 3 pillars of the healthcare domain today – 1.Govt hospitals (overburdened, neglected by govt); 2.corporate hospitals (most can’t afford them); and 3.small clinics (run by individual doctors, affordable to most). With such vandalism at hospitals, attacks on doctors and lethal legislations like the Clinical Establishment Act (enacted at the behest of corporate giants), the middle buffer layer of small clinics in the society is dying a silent death. The day when small clinics will be uprooted in this country, will be the worst day in the history of healthcare in India. And clearly, only poor and commoners will be the sufferers of the outcome and not the wealthy or politicians who can afford Fortis!

We have seen the society blindly running social campaigns for the religious, linguistic, political causes. We witnessed society running a campaign even to save the criminals convicted in the Supreme Court. We saw the society running a campaign so that someone doesn’t become Prime Minister. We saw chest thumping by the intellectuals and nerds on topics like eating non-veg or even pollution during Diwali! We have witnessed hundreds of crap social campaigns for absurd causes that bring no fucking difference for the society itself. Why no one feels like taking up this issue and doing a candle-light march for “Save The Doctor” or “Save The Clinic” campaign which is essential for the society’s future? Did a doctor not save your life ever?

Every time you beat up a doctor, you discourage 100 other docs from taking risk to save your life; you discourage them from going to villages where they have no protection. Every time you vandalize a small clinic, you open up a window for the future corporate dominance in healthcare. If healthcare in India has to be affordable to larger population, small clinics MUST survive! And society itself has to stand up to protect small clinics, individual doctors and, in turn, its own future.

Despite such a pressing need for actions, I can’t see even one intellectual or media-person or politician, or at least someone from this society standing up for doctors! Has the society gone brain-dead today? Does it need resuscitation?

Oh sorry, the small clinic near you just shut down. You better rush to Fortis!

Hinduism, a way of life

Many of us know that we are Hindu by birth; but we don't understand what it really means. Here is a conversation that explains it in detail. Please take out time and read carefully.
--
A Hindu was flying from JFK New York Airport to SFO San Francisco Airport CA to attend a meeting at Monterey, CA.

An American girl was sitting on the right side, near window seat. It indeed was a long journey - it would take nearly seven hours.

He was surprised to see the young girl reading a Bible unusual of young Americans. After some time she smiled and we had few acquaintances talk.He told her that I am from India

Then suddenly the girl asked: 'What's your faith?' 'What?' He didn't understand the question.

'I mean, what's your religion? Are you a Christian? Or a Muslim?'

'No!' He replied, 'He am neither Christian nor Muslim'.

Apparently she appeared shocked to listen to that. 'Then who are you?' “I am a Hindu”, He said.

She looked at him as if she was seeing a caged animal. She could not understand what He was talking about.

A common man in Europe or US knows about Christianity and Islam, as they are the leading religions of the world today.

But a Hindu, what?

He explained to her - I am born to a Hindu father and Hindu mother. Therefore, I am a Hindu by birth.

'Who is your prophet?' she asked.

'We don't have a prophet,' He replied.

'What's your Holy Book?'

'We don't have a single Holy Book, but we have hundreds and thousands of philosophical and sacred scriptures,' He replied.

'Oh, come on at least tell me who is your God?'

'What do you mean by that?'

'Like we have Jesus and Muslims have Allah - don't you have a God?'

He thought for a moment. Muslims and Christians believe one God (Male God) who created the world and takes an interest in the humans who inhabit it. Her mind is conditioned with that kind of belief.

According to her (or anybody who doesn't know about Hinduism), a religion needs to have one Prophet, one Holy book and one God. The mind is so conditioned and rigidly narrowed down to such a notion that anything else is not acceptable. He understood her perception and concept about faith. You can't compare Hinduism with any of the present leading religions where you have to believe in one concept of God.

He tried to explain to her: 'You can believe in one God and he can be a Hindu. You may believe in multiple deities and still you can be a Hindu. What's more - you may not believe in God at all, still you can be a Hindu. An Atheist can also be a Hindu.'

This sounded very crazy to her. She couldn't imagine a religion so unorganized, still surviving for thousands of years, even after onslaught from foreign forces.

'I don't understand but it seems very interesting. Are you religious?'

What can he tell to this American girl?

He said: 'I do not go to Temple regularly. I do not make any regular rituals. I have learned some of the rituals in my younger days. I still enjoy doing it sometimes'.

'Enjoy? Are you not afraid of God?'

'God is a friend. No- I am not afraid of God. Nobody has made any compulsions on me to perform these rituals regularly.'

She thought for a while and then asked: 'Have you ever thought of converting to any other religion?'

'Why should I? Even if I challenge some of the rituals and faith in Hinduism, nobody can convert me from Hinduism. Because, being a Hindu allows me to think independently and objectively, without conditioning. I remain as a Hindu never by force, but choice.' He told her that Hinduism is not a religion, but a set of beliefs and practices. It is not a religion like Christianity or Islam because it is not founded by any one person or does not have an organized controlling body like the Church or the Order, I added. There is no institution or authority..

'So, you don't believe in God?' she wanted everything in black and white.

'I didn't say that. I do not discard the divine reality. Our scripture, or Sruthis or Smrithis - Vedas and Upanishads or the Gita - say God might be there or he might not be there. But we pray to that supreme abstract authority (Para Brahma) that is the creator of this universe.'

'Why can't you believe in one personal God?'

'We have a concept - abstract - not a personal god. The concept or notion of a personal God, hiding behind the clouds of secrecy, telling us irrational stories through few men whom he sends as messengers, demanding us to worship him or punish us, does not make sense. I don't think that God is as silly as an autocratic emperor who wants others to respect him or fear him.' He told her that such notions are just fancies of less educated human imagination and fallacies, adding that generally ethnic religious practitioners in Hinduism believe in personal Gods. The entry level Hinduism has over-whelming superstitions too. The philosophical side of Hinduism negates all superstitions.

'Good that you agree God might exist. You told that you pray. What is your prayer then?'

'Loka Samastha Sukino Bhavantu. Om Shanti, Shanti, Shanti,'

'Funny,' she laughed, 'What does it mean?'

'May all the beings in all the worlds be happy. Let there be Peace, Peace, and Peace every where.'

'Hmm ..very interesting. I want to learn more about this religion. It is so democratic, broad-minded and free' she exclaimed.

'The fact is Hinduism is a religion of the individual, for the individual and by the individual with its roots in the Vedas and the Bhagavad-Gita. It is all about an individual approaching a personal God in an individual way according to his temperament and inner evolution - it is as simple as that.'

'How does anybody convert to Hinduism?'

'Nobody can convert you to Hinduism, because it is not a religion, but it is a Culture, a way of living life, a set of beliefs and practices. Everything is acceptable in Hinduism because there is no single Authority or Organization either to accept you or to reject you or to oppose you on behalf of Hinduism.'

He told her - if you look for meaning in life, don't look for it in religions; don't go from one cult to another or from one Guru to the next.

For a real seeker, He told her, the Bible itself gives guidelines when it says ' Kingdom of God is within you.' I reminded her of Christ's teaching about the love that we have for each other. That is where you can find the meaning of life.

Loving each and every creation of the God is absolute and real. 'Isavasyam idam sarvam' Isam (the God) is present (inhabits) here everywhere - nothing exists separate from the God, because God is present everywhere. Respect every living being and non-living things as God. That's what Hinduism teaches you.

Hinduism is referred to as Sanathana Dharma, the eternal faith. It is based on the practice of Dharma, the code of life. The most important aspect of Hinduism is being truthful to oneself. Hinduism has no monopoly on ideas. It is open to all. Hindus believe in one God (not a personal one) expressed in different forms. For them, God is timeless and formless entity.

Ancestors of today's Hindus believe in eternal truths and cosmic laws and these truths are opened to anyone who seeks them. But there is a section of Hindus who are either superstitious or turned fanatic to make this an organized religion like others. The British coin the word 'Hindu' and considered it as a religion.

He said: 'Religions have become an MLM (multi-level- marketing) industry that has been trying to expand the market share by conversion. The biggest business in today's world is Spirituality. Hinduism is no exception'

He said "I am a Hindu primarily because it professes Non-violence - 'Ahimsa Paramo Dharma' means - Non violence is the highest duty. I am a Hindu because it doesn't condition my mind with any faith system.

A man/woman who changes his/her birth religion to another religion is a fake and does not value his/her morals, culture and values in life.

In Hinduism we don't have any messengers of god.

Some say "Be Muslim". Some say "Be Christian". Vedas say "Be Human".

Some say "Follow Prophet".Some say "Follow Jesus". Vedas say "Follow Conscience".

Some say "God is over 7th Sky". Some say "God is over 4th Sky". Vedas say "God is with me, within me".

Some say "God tests". Some say "God punishes". Some say "God forgives". Vedas say "God supports".

Hinduism is the original rather a natural yet a logical and satisfying spiritual, personal and a scientific way of living a life.

Hinduism is not a religion, its a culture, a way of life.

Health care status

Good education in Finland. (If true)

Education in Finland
*Finland is ranked No.1 in the world in Education. What’s so great there!*
• A child goes to school there only at the age of 7. The torture does not start at 2 ½ as it is elsewhere.
• A child learns from each move that it comes across in this early age at home.
• From the age of 7 to 10 the child spends 50% of it’s time in school and the remaining as vacation.
• The school timings are also less and equal importance is given to Music, Arts and Sports too
• The schools there have relaxation rooms for the children to take rest if they feel tired.
• Until the age of 13 there is no grading and no report cards for students.
• If they parents are inquisitive of the child’s progress they can apply to know that.
• Since there is no grading there is no pressure on the student to compete.
• They are not given homework. Students can do their homework in the subject of their choice.
• A doctor stationed in each school monitors their health and advices.
• Only a maximum of 600 students are permitted in a school.
• There aren’t any private schools. All are Govt. run. There is equality in education for all.
• 99% of children in Finland get primary education.
• Students who hail from a country where there aren’t exams excel in competitive exams elsewhere.
• You may wonder ho this is possible. An UN research explains this…..
• UN does an annual research about the happiest children in the world. Finland stands first.
• Educationists from other countries flock to Finland to understand their system more.
• 1500 representatives from 56 countries go there every year.
• The country’s major foreign exchange comes from education tourism.
• *A teachers job in Finland is like an IAS or IPS job here.*
• *The teachers there have a major stake in the laws and policies of the country.*
• Every third child there wants to become a teacher. But it’s not so easy.
• Only students who excel are considered for this post.
• They are given 5 years of Teacher Training, 6 months of Military training, One years of onsite teacher training, Training in the Laws and Policies, Fire service, Self Defense, First Aid. In total a *7 Year Training to become a teacher.*

Our Journey Together is so Short

A young lady sat in a bus. At the next stop a loud and grumpy old lady came and sat by her. She squeezed into the seat and bumped her with her numerous bags.

The person sitting on the other side of the young lady got upset, asked her why she did not speak up and say something.

The young lady responded with a smile:

"It is not necessary to be rude or argue over something so insignificant, the journey together is so short. I get off at the next stop."

This response deserves to be written in golden letters:

*"It is not necessary to argue over something so insignificant, our journey together is so short"*

If each one of us realized that our time here is so short; that to darken it with quarrels, futile arguments, not forgiving others, discontentment and a fault finding attitude would be a waste of time and energy.

Did someone break your heart? *Be calm, the journey is so short.*

Did someone provoke or intimidate you? *Be calm, forgive; the journey is so short.*

Did someone betray, bully, cheat or humiliate you? *Be calm, forgive; the journey is so short.*

Whatever troubles anyone brings us, let us remember that *our journey together is so short.*

No one knows the duration of this journey. No one knows when their stop will come. *Our journey together is so short.*

Let us cherish friends and family. Let us be respectful, kind and forgiving to each other. Let us be filled with gratitude and gladness.

If I have ever hurt you, I ask for your forgiveness. If you have ever hurt me, you already have my forgiveness.

After all, *Our Journey Together is so Short!*

Game ?

ये सचमुच सच है for all husband and wife   कभी मत भूलना.....👌..

Local Indian food is great

*Rujuta Diwekar* is the highest paid *dietician* in India. She is the one who took care of *junior Ambani* to lose 108 kgs.
*Her advice to diabetics*:

1. *Eat fruits grown locally* ..... Banana, Grapes, Chikoo, Mangoes. All fruits have FRUCTOSE so it doesn't matter that you are eating a mango over an Apple. A Mango comes from Konkan and Apple from Kashmir. So Mango is more local to you.

*Eat all the above fruits in DIABETES as the FRUCTOSE* will eventually manage your SUGAR

  2. Choose Seed oils than Veggie oils. Like choose ground nut, mustard, coconut & til. *Don't choose chakachak packing oils*, like olive,  rice bran etc
*Go for kachchi ghani oils than refined oils*

  3. Rujuta spends max time in her talks talking about GHEE and its benefits.
*Eat GHEE daily*. How much GHEE we should eat depends on food. Few foods need more GHEE then eat more and vice versa. Eat ample *GHEE. It REDUCES cholesterol*.

  4. *Include COCONUT.* Either scraped coconut over food like poha, khandvi or chutney with idli and dosa
Coconut has *ZERO CHOLESTEROL* and it makes your WAIST SLIM

  5. *Don't eat oats, cereals for breakfast*. They are packaged food and we don't need them.  Also they are tasteless and boring and our day shouldn't start with boring stuff.
Breakfast should be poha, upma, idli, dosa, paratha

  6. Farhaan Akhtar's New ad of biscuits - fibre in every bite... Even ghar ka kachara has fibre, likewise oats have fibre. Don't chose them for fibre. *Instead of oats, eat poha, upma, idli, dosa*

  7. *No JUICES till you have teeth* in your mouth to chew veggies and fruits

  8. *SUGARCANE is the real DETOX* . Drink the juice fresh or eat the SUGARCANE

  9. For pcos, thyroid - do strength training and weight training and avoid all packaged food

10. *RICE - eat regular WHITE RICE. NO NEED of Brown rice.* Brown rice needs 5-6 whistles to cook and when it tires your pressure cooker, then why do you want to tire your tummy.

A white rice is hand pounded simple rice

*Rice* is not high is GI INDEX.  Rice has mediun GI index and by eating it with daal / dahi / kadhi we bring its GI index further down
If we take _ghee over this daal chawal then the GI INDEX is brought further down._
*B.* Rice has some rich minerals and you can eat it even three times a day

11. How much should we eat - *eat more if you are more hungry,* let your stomach be your guide and vice versa

12. We can *eat rice and chapati together* or only rice if you wish. It depends on your hunger. *Eat RICE in ALL THREE MEALS without any fear.*

13. Food shouldn't make you scared like eating rice and ghee. *Food should make you FEEL GOOD*

14. *NEVER* look at *CALORIES*. Look at *NUTRIENTS*

15. *No bread, biscuits, cakes, pizza, pasta*

16. Ask yourself is this the food my Nani & Dadi ate?  If yes then eat without fear.

17. Eat as per your season. *Eat pakoda, fafda, jalebi in monsoon*. Your hunger is as per season. Few seasons we need fried food so eat them.

18. When not to have chai - tea - don't drink tea as the first thing in morning or when you are hungry. Rest you can have it 2-3 times a day and with sugar

19. *NO GREEN tea please.* No green, yellow, purple, blue tea.

20. Eat *ALL* of your *TRADITIONAL* foods.

21. Strictly *NO* to packaged foods / drinks.

22. *Exercise / Walk*
to digest & stay healthy.

Charity wrapped in Dignity!!!!

*Charity wrapped in Dignity!!!!*

She asked him, "How much are you selling the eggs for?"
The old seller replied to her, "Rs.5/- for one egg, Madam."
She said to him, "I will take 6 eggs for Rs.25/- or I will leave."
The old seller replied, "Come take them at the price you want... May be this is a good beginning because I have not been able sell to anyone today."
She took it and walked away with a feeling that she has won. She got into her fancy car and went to pick her friend, and invited her to a posh restaurant.
She and her friend sat down and ordered what they liked. They ate a little and left a lot of what they ordered.
Then she went to pay the bill. The bill was Rs.1,400/-. She gave him Rs. 1,500/- and said to the owner of the restaurant: "Keep the change."
This incident may seem quite normal to the owner of the restaurant. But it is very painful for the poor egg seller.

The bottom line is:
_*Why do we always show that we have the power when we buy from the needy and the poor? And why are we generous with those who do not need our generosity ?*_

Every time a poor child comes to me to sell something simple, I remember a tweet from the son of a rich man who said, "After every prayer my father used to buy simple goods from poor people at expensive prices, even though he did not need them. Sometimes he used to pay more for them. I used to get concerned by this act and I asked him about it. Then my father told me: " *It is a charity wrapped with dignity, my son.*"

Compare these two stories of social hypocrisy.
The first one is disappointing and the second one is inspiring...!

Health care in India

This is an excellent article, though a bit long. Please read it to understand about the current situation of doctors and medical practice. This was forwarded to me by a lawyer .

Prateek Bhatnagar

The Drama and The Tragedy of Indian Healthcare

“One doesn’t need to be a doctor to start a hospital, just as one can start a hotel without knowing how to cook”.

Big businessmen and corporates who must invest their money in profitable ventures knew this very well. Up came gigantic buildings under the title ‘advanced / world class healthcare’, where much was invested in the infrastructure and technology, but the quality of doctors was kept to bare minimum necessary: junior most who are willing to accept the atrocious sharing conditions. These new ‘Money Making Machines’ picked up very well, because they gave the  rich class an illusion that they can buy health with money, but also attracted the middle and lower classes under the ever-coveted term ‘cashless’. The fear of illness and death was exploited with aggressive marketing. Many things  started to change after 1992.

When one invests in many hundred crores, the profits must match. To maintain, there must be continuous patient flow, admissions, tests, procedures and surgeries. Indian society is quite vulnerable to advertising as well as corruption. All the marketing strategies and skills were aggressively employed in that direction. To catch patients for paying procedures and surgeries, to develop a patient base, free camps were arranged in the interiors. 'Free' is a universally loved term, most people blindly fall for it.

The idiotic term ‘whole body check up’ was invented to attract the illiterate, ignorant and hyperanxious crowds. Unnecessary tests were suggested and done happily under the false sense of health security.  PROs and marketing teams of various hospitals started visiting private doctors for the obvious: commissions on admission / tests / surgery.

Patients with even simple illnesses that can be treated at primary healthcare center were taken to bigger cities now, and they proudly boasted how much land they sold to get the right treatment.
The perpetual inadequacy or absence of federal / state healthcare infrastructure was never questioned.
Those who had insurance cover started thinking that they now own all the hospitals and doctors. They started behaving as if they are obliging the doctor / hospital by choosing them. ‘Only a good outcome is must because I am paying money’ became a universal expectation, and thanklessness, threats and vandalism started with almost every bad outcome.

Applying the consumer protection act in India, with high illiteracy, poverty and political interference was the final straw. Doctors now could not treat patients based upon only clinical judgement, because the patient and the courts would demand proofs. So tests became necessary, to the point of finding a proof. Evidence based medicine defeated the need for clinical judgement to treat simple conditions without having to do the tests. Doctors and patients both started to suspect each other, and grew apart.

Still some really patriotic doctors, clinics, smaller nursing homes and hospitals continued what was essential for the society, giving excellent healthcare at the lowest cost, based upon their patient base generated over decades of faith and trust. The ‘Clinical Establishment Act” broke the very spine of such hospitals, because it made western standards blindly mandatory for Indian hospitals. More licensing, over 30 permissions (bribes everywhere), and so much paperwork and infrastructure investment, that it was now impossible to keep healthcare low cost. The only thing that was excluded from such westernization was costing. As the doctor is the only face of healthcare for the patient, the ultimate blame for higher costs was conveniently placed upon his/ her shoulder. All doctors turned villains now.

The hidden plans to eradicate small hospitals and private practitioners are being successful now, given the hardships involved in running one’s own hospital. Thousands of small hospitals / clinics have closed down. Doctors now must join corporate hospitals if they want to continue as specialists. They have no control over billing and hospital policies, and are thrown out if they question anything.  Most people do not know that a doctor’s payment is less than 10 percent of most hospital bills, a standard corporate protocol all over India, and if the doctor wants to help the patient, it is his own bill that he/ she will have to sacrifice.

Mediclaim (Medical Insurance) is still at a fraudulent stage in India, with many deserving patients being denied insurance, while many patients being allowed to misuse it. Mediclaim companies now have two fatal policies; to encourage the accreditation business, thereby making it difficult for smaller hospitals to survive, and to dictate lowest healthcare costs for hospitals and doctor’s fees, whereby their own profit margin stays high. In such a scenario, the corporates either must inflate the bills or cut down on the quality of healthcare provided.

The big corporates required specialists who worked at the lowest salaries and accepted all their conditions. Those who had passed out without much merits from less academic medical colleges, those who had lower confidence and / or experience became easily available.  Instead of increasing govt medical colleges and seats, private medical education was encouraged, because the highest in the land prifited from that policy. The society never objected, because the dream of ‘buying a medical seat and ability of becoming a doctor even without merit’  had become a reality. Only a few exceptional students benefit from private medical education.

To pay for electricity and water and land and building with commercial rates, to get no subsidies, to pay full taxes, and then to be told to “subsidise”  patient bills for charity (whereas the govt hospitals keep on increasing it regularly), is atrocious. At every stage a hospital / doctor must bribe for permissions. Very few exceptions. In fact, people expect doctors to pay higher bribes.  Doctors belong to the same society as you, and mirror the same good and bad that the society has, there cannot be one-way blame game here. This does not mean there weren't greedy doctors, in fact the corporate policies helped some such doctors  flourish too.

There indeed were days when doctors earned too much money, some with good and some with deceptive means. Gone are those days. Now in each specialty there are a few who do well, and some who don’t. Most doctors struggle to maintain the incomes to continue offering good healthcare. Many have quit the profession.

Even patients are mostly not happy with only honest and good treatment. They want multiple facilities and luxuries,  trained staff, accreditations, cashless facility, no marketing/ referral/ cut practice, but still the lowest rates. How will smaller hospitals compete in such a scenario with the giant corporates?

In a few months / years, small hospitals and private medical practice will have been completely eradicated, the only healthcare options will be government or corporate. After defaming the entire medical profession and creating wide rifts between the society and doctors, the marketeers of health and life corporates and insurance companies, will  keep on freely filling their coffers while providing compromised healthcare at all stages.
