Dear Friends,

It is one on the most convincing pieces on happiness.

Khushwant Singh is known for notoriety and for sensationalism. But, this piece is really wonderful

Khushwant Singh at his best. The rationale applied to each preference is absolutely top class.

It indeed makes striking reading and puts in perspective all that it needs to be happy.

EIGHT CLUES TO HAPPINESS

By- KHUSHWANT SINGH

Having lived a reasonably contented life, I was musing over what a person
should strive for to achieve happiness. I drew up a list of a few essentials
which I put forward for the readers' appraisal.

1. First and foremost is GOOD HEALTH. If you do not enjoy good health you
can never be happy. Any ailment, however trivial, will deduct from your
happiness.

2. Second, A HEALTHY BANK BALANCE. It need not run into crores but should be
enough to provide for creature comforts and something to spare for
recreation, like eating out, going to the pictures, travelling or going on
holidays on the hills or by the sea. Shortage of money can be only
demoralizing. Living on credit or borrowing is demeaning and lowers one in
one's own eyes.

3. Third, A HOME OF YOUR OWN. Rented premises can never give you the snug
feeling of a nest which is yours for keeps that a home provides: if it has a
garden space, all the better. Plant your own trees and flowers, see them
grow and blossom, cultivate a sense of kinship with them.

4. Fourth, AN UNDERSTANDING COMPANION, be it your spouse or a friend. If
there are too many misunderstandings, they will rob you of your peace of
mind. It is better to be divorced than to bicker all the time.

5. Fifth, LACK OF ENVY towards those who have done better than you in life;
risen higher, made more money, or earned more fame. Envy can be very
corroding; avoid comparing yourself with others.

6. Sixth, DO NOT ALLOW OTHER PEOPLE to descend on you for gup-shup. By the
time you get rid of them, you will feel exhausted and poisoned by their
gossip-mongering.

7. Seventh, CULTIVATE SOME HOBBIES which can bring you a sense of
fulfilment, such as gardening, reading, writing, painting, playing or
listening to music. Going to clubs or parties to get free drinks or to meet
celebrities is criminal waste of time.

8. Eighth, every morning and evening, devote 15 minutes to INTROSPECTION. In
the morning, 10 minutes should be spent on stilling the mind and then five
in listing things you have to do that day. In the evening, five minutes to
still the mind again, and ten to go over what you had undertaken to do.

RICHNESS is not Earning More, Spending More Or Saving  More, but ...

"RICHNESS IS WHEN YOU NEED NO MORE"

God cannot reach everywhere...So he created Mothers on the Earth!!!

A simple, yet very expressive snap!

MOTHER IS GOD'S Best GIFT
.

.

.

If God is great, (Amma, Aai, Amme, Maa, Mom, Mummy................is also great!)

THERE IS NOTHING IN THE WORLD BETTER THAN MOTHER'S LOVE.......

Baby Monkey hit by bike at Jaipur { India }

but monkey mother...... . we already know the Mother history.

Maa Tujhe Salaam

...Nothing in this world is better than a Mother...

-..-

Do you know..

a human body can bear only upto 45 Del (unit) of pain.

But at the time of giving birth, a woman feels upto 57 Del of Pain.

This is similar to 20 bones getting fractured at a time!!!!

LOVE UR MOM...I LOVE MY MOM...DO YOU....

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PERSON ON THIS EARTH

OUR BEST CRITIC

YET OUR STRONGEST SUPPORTER

"MOTHER"

This is really sweet.

A budding Buddah: I'm taking 40 winks on the path to enlightenment
Awesome Mum
 cid:image002.gif@01CABAD8.B5AF3060
Once you have been hit, you have to hit 5 awesome Mums..

Meet my silent partner, we like to get our heads together
Before I was a Mum,

I never tripped over toys
Or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not
My plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.
Crib sheet - and this hatbox beats my cradle any day
Before I was a Mum,

I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind
And my thoughts.
I slept all night.
Frown in the mouth: My afternoon nap is a serious business
Before I was a Mum,

I never held down a screaming child
So doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night
Watching a baby sleep.

Out on the floor: It's no struggle to snuggle up to a warm rug
Before I was a Mum,

I never held a sleeping baby just because
I didn't want to put her down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces
When I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small
Could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mum.

Getting back to nature: Who says caterpillars can't hibernate?
Before I was a Mum,

I didn't know the feeling of
Having my heart outside my body..
I didn't know how special it could feel
To feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond
Between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small
Could make me feel so important and happy.

It's a wrap: Lulled to sleep with a swaddling song
Before I was a Mum,
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night
Every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth,
The joy,
The love,
The heartache,
The wonderment
Or the satisfaction of being a Mum.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much,
Before I was a Mum

Prize guys: They came first in the bonnet baby contest
Send this to someone who you think is an awesome Mum.
May you always be overwhelmed by the Grace of God rather than by the cares of life

Eye Opener for all parents

A teacher from Primary School asks her students to write an essay about what they would like God to do for them...

At the end of the day while marking the essays, she read one that made her very emotional.

Her husband, that had just walked in saw her crying and asked her: - What happened?

She answered - Read this. It's one of my student's essays…

"Oh God, tonight I ask you something very special: Make me into a television.
I want to take its place. Live like the TV in my house.

Have my own special place, and have my family around ME. To be taken seriously when I talk....
I want to be the centre of attention and be heard without interruptions or questions.

I want to receive the same special care that the TV receives when it is not working.
Have the company of my dad when he arrives home from work, even when he is tired.

And I want my mom to want me when she is sad and upset, instead of ignoring me... And...

I want my brothers to fight to be with me...

I want to feel that family just leaves everything aside, every now and then, just to spend some time with me.
And last but not least make it that I can make them all happy and entertain them...

Lord I don't ask you for much...
I just want to live like every TV ...

At that moment the husband said: - 'My God, poor kid. What horrible parents!

She looked up at him and said: - 'That essay is our son's!!!
