This is really sweet. Awesome Mum  Once you have been hit, you have to hit 5 awesome Mums..  Before I was a Mum,  I never tripped over toys  Or forgot words to a lullaby.  I didn't worry whether or not  My plants were poisonous.  I never thought about immunizations. Before I was a Mum,  I had never been puked on.  Pooped on.  Chewed on.  Peed on.  I had complete control of my mind  And my thoughts.  I slept all night. Before I was a Mum,  I never held down a screaming child  So doctors could do tests.  Or give shots.  I never looked into teary eyes and cried.  I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.  I never sat up late hours at night  Watching a baby sleep.  Before I was a Mum,  I never held a sleeping baby just because  I didn't want to put her down.  I never felt my heart break into a million pieces  When I couldn't stop the hurt.  I never knew that something so small  Could affect my life so much.  I never knew that I could love someone so much.  I never knew I would love being a Mum.  Before I was a Mum,  I didn't know the feeling of  Having my heart outside my body..  I didn't know how special it could feel  To feed a hungry baby.  I didn't know that bond  Between a mother and her child.  I didn't know that something so small  Could make me feel so important and happy.  Before I was a Mum,  I had never gotten up in the middle of the night  Every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.  I had never known the warmth,  The joy,  The love,  The heartache,  The wonderment  Or the satisfaction of being a Mum.  I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much,  Before I was a Mum  Send this to someone who you think is an awesome Mum.  May you always be overwhelmed by the Grace of God rather than by the cares of life

A teacher from Primary School asks her students to write an essay about what they would like God to do for them...

 

At the end of the day while marking the essays, she read one that made her very emotional.

 

Her husband, that had just walked in saw her crying and asked her: - What happened?

 

She answered - Read this. It's one of my student's essays…

 

"Oh God, tonight I ask you something very special: Make me into a television.

I want to take its place. Live like the TV in my house.

 

Have my own special place, and have my family around ME. To be taken seriously when I talk.... 

I want to be the centre of attention and be heard without interruptions or questions.

 

I want to receive the same special care that the TV receives when it is not working.

Have the company of my dad when he arrives home from work, even when he is tired.

 

And I want my mom to want me when she is sad and upset, instead of ignoring me... And...

I want my brothers to fight to be with me...

 

I want to feel that family just leaves everything aside, every now and then, just to spend some time with me.

And last but not least make it that I can make them all happy and entertain them...

 

Lord I don't ask you for much...

I just want to live like every TV ...

 

At that moment the husband said: - 'My God, poor kid. What horrible parents!

તમે સુખી છો ?                                 નવાંગતુક માર્કેટિંગ ડિરેક્ટર નાં સ્વાગત સમારોહમાં એમની સાથે આવેલ એમની પત્ની ને અન્ય સ્ત્રીઓએ પૂછ્યું "તમારા પતિથી તમે સુખી છો ને?"                                      નજીક જ બેઠેલા પતિદેવ અપેક્ષિત્ જવાબ ની આશામાં , વિશ્વાસ સાથે , થોડા ટટ્ટાર થઇ ગયા. એમને ખાતરી હતી કે એમની પત્ની નો જવાબ હકારમાં જ હશે. એમને અને બીજા બધાંને  પત્નીનો જવાબ સાંભળીને સખત આંચકો લાગ્યો જયારે તેણે કહ્યું, "ના, હું મારા પતિ થી સુખી નથી !"  આખા રૂમમાં સ્તબ્ધતા છવાઈ ગઈ! પતિદેવ તો જાણે પથ્થરનું સ્ટેચ્યુ! એ માની જ નહોતા શકતા કે  એમની પત્ની આવું કહેશે- એ ય આટલા બધા લોકોની વચ્ચે.     પોતાના માથા પરનો સ્કાર્ફ સરખો કરતાં કરતાં એ સ્ત્રી એ આગળ કહ્યું : "ના, હું એમના-થી સુખી નથી, હું [જાતે] સુખી છું !"   હું સુખી છું કે કેમ, એ બાબત એમના પર આધારીત  નથી , એ બાબત મારા પર આધાર રાખે છે! "મારૂં સુખ ફક્ત મારા પર આધાર રાખે છે. "   જિંદગીની હરેક પરિસ્થિતિમાં, હરેક ક્ષણમાં હું સુખનો અનુભવ કરવાનું પસંદ કરૂં છું.    સુખનો અનુભવ કરવા માટે મારે બીજા લોકો પર, બીજી બાબતો પર કે પરિસ્થિતિઓ પર આધાર રાખવાનો હોય તો તો હું મુશ્કેલીમાં મૂકી જઉં! આપણી જિંદગીમાં અસ્તિત્વ ધરાવે છે એ તમામ વસ્તુઓ પરિવર્તનશીલ છે : માણસો, સંપત્તિ, મારૂં શરીર, હવામાન, ખુશીઓ આ તમામ પરિવર્તનશીલ છે..                                               મારી જિંદગીમાં હું કેટલીક બાબતો શીખી છું: હું સુખી છું એવો નિર્ણય હું કરી લઉં છું બાકીની તમામ બાબતો "અનુભવો" યા તો "પરિસ્થિતિઓ" નો વિષય છે! જેમ કે મદદરૂપ થવું, સમજવું, સ્વીકારવું, સાંભળવું, સધિયારો આપવો: મારા પતિ સાથે હું આમ જ જીવું છું.   સાચું સુખ મળે છે ક્ષમાવાન થવામાં, અને તમારી જાતને ને બીજા બધાંને ચાહવામાં. .....મને સુખી કરવાની જવાબદારી મારા પતિ ની નથી એની પાસે પણ એના પોતાના  "અનુભવો" કે "પરિસ્થિતિઓ" છે! અમારા સંજોગો ગમે તે હોય , પણ હું એને ચાહું છું, અને એ મને ચાહે છે                                     એ બદલાતા રહે છે, હું પણ બદલાતી રહું છું. વાતાવરણ બદલાતું રહે છે. તમામ વસ્તુઓ બદલાતી રહે છે ક્ષમાશીલતા હોય, સાચો પ્રેમ હોય અને પરિવર્તનો તો હમેશા આવે જ છે એ જોયું હોય તો બંનેએ એક બીજા માટે પોતાના હદયમાં રહેલા પ્રેમ વડે આવા પરિવર્તનોને ઝીલવા જોઈએ. જો આપણે બેઉ એકબીજાને પ્રેમ કરતાં રહીએ અને માફ કરતાં રહીએ તો પરિવર્તનો એવા "અનુભવો યા પરિસ્થિતિઓ" બની રહેશે જે આપણને સમૃદ્ધ કરે અને શક્તિશાળી બનાવે.   એમ નહી થાય તો આપણે ફક્ત " સાથે જીવન ગુજારનાર" બની રહેશું.                                   સાચો પ્રેમ કરવો કઠિન છે. સાચો પ્રેમ એટલે અપેક્ષારહિત્ ક્ષમા આપવી "અનુભવો યા પરિસ્થિતિઓ"ને છે એમ જ સ્વીકારવા અને એમને સાથે રહીને ઝીલવા અને પરિણામ થી ખુશ રહેવું.                                                       એવા કેટલાય લોકો છે જે કહેશે: હું સુખી થઇ શકું એમ નથી ...... કારણકે હું રોગગ્રસ્ત છું ........ કારણકે મારી પાસે એક પણ પૈસો નથી ......... કારણ કે ભયંકર ગરમી છે ................કારણકે એમણે મારૂં અપમાન કર્યું છે .......... કારણકે એ હવે મને પ્રેમ કરતો નથી ....... કારણકે એ હવે મારા વખાણ કરતો નથી!                                                                                                                       પણ તમને ખબર નથી કે રોગગ્રસ્ત હોવા છતાં ભયંકર ગરમી હોવા છતાં પૈસા ના હોવા છતાં અપમાનિત થવા છતાં પ્રેમ ના મળવા છતાં કે ખ્યાતિ ના મળવા છતાં તમે સુખી રહી શકો છો.   સુખી હોવું   એ જીવન વિશેનું આપણું મનોવલણ છે અને એ આપણે નક્કી કરવાનું છે! સુખી હોવું        એ તમારા પર નિર્ભર કરે છે !
